Venerable Ayya Sumana is a Theravadin nun ordained in the Sri Lankan tradition, and has studied at a Vietnamese Theravadin monastery. She has been a wonderful, warm, and open presence in our sangha, and fulfilled many spiritual roles in the community. She currently resides in Vermont, but returns to Tallahassee on occasion.
